We met Amir at the Brasserie in Tel-Aviv for breakfast, a few laughs, good continental style food, and then we all went to the Tel-Aviv Museum, he wanted to take us to see the controversial new construction. I thought it was so beautiful. Amir looks so much like a Bichkov, and like Uncle Moshe.

After the museum, Amir said goodbye, we hugged, and he took a taxi to Jerusalem to review another restaurant for the next edition of Ynet and Yediot Aharonot. We took a taxi to Herziliya to visit Maya and her new baby Ofir, and Varda, her mom. We ended up hanging around their building entrance in the heat for about an hour with no way to contact Maya. Eventually they drove up. Hillel came later with Noam who is 3. Went to Varda's new place which is just down the road a piece. We were looking forward to going back down south to Haj Kahlil in Jaffa, the Arab restaurant Amir has just written a review about - and then walking around at the new Tachana - station, with shops and restaurants in the revitalized Jaffa harbor area. We ended up having dinner with cousin Rachel B in Herziliya - at a seafood restaurant in the Marina. We were wiped out with the heat, and that's about all we could manage. Next year for Haj!
